The winter season starts from December to February. Upper Mustang gets extremely cold and heavy snowfall during winter. Snow covers the trails making it difficult to walk. To trek Upper Mustang first you need to land at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA). After landing you have two options. Either you board a plane to Pokhara or drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara.
