The tour starts from Pokhara and flies over the Pokhara valley, passing Begnas, Rupa, and Phewa Lake, with a glimpse of the deep gorge of the Seti River as you head toward Ghorepani. ITINERARY
We get on a private vehicle early in the morning that will take us to Pokhara Airport. From there, we will get on a helicopter and take off. The aircraft will head north, flying over lush green hills and valleys towards Ghorepani. From Ghorepani, we fly westward to Poonhill. The helicopter will land at the top of the hill. There, we will enjoy the view for about half an hour. Then, we get back on our helicopter and fly back to Pokhara.
Poon Hill-Ghandruk flights depart only when visibility and weather conditions meet safe flying standards. If conditions deteriorate, we reschedule rather than risk the safety of our guests and crew.
Poon Hill and the Ghandruk viewpoint sit at roughly 3,210m, so mild altitude effects are possible during your ground time. Our crew briefs every guest beforehand and keeps landings brief and comfortable for all ages and fitness levels.

The Ghorepani–Ghandruk Helicopter Tour is a scenic Himalayan flight from Pokhara covering two of the most popular destinations in the lower Annapurna region. The tour combines Ghorepani and Poon Hill, known for Himalayan sunrise views, with Ghandruk, a traditional Gurung village surrounded by mountain scenery.
The complete experience generally takes around 2 to 3 hours, depending on the flight route, landing time, weather, and operational conditions. The schedule can be adjusted depending on whether you want more time at Ghorepani, Poon Hill, or Ghandruk.
The standard tour starts from Pokhara Airport. Hotel pickup and transportation to the airport can be arranged according to the selected package.

The tour is operated with safety as the primary consideration. Pilots assess weather, visibility, wind, aircraft performance, and landing conditions before operating the flight. If conditions aren't suitable, the flight will be delayed or canceled rather than operated in unsafe conditions.
Yes. Because the tour requires very little physical effort compared with trekking, it can be a good option for families, older travelers, and visitors who don't want to undertake a multi-day trek. Anyone with a significant medical condition should consider their individual health before traveling.
Wear comfortable clothing in layers. A warm jacket, comfortable trousers, sunglasses, sunscreen, and sturdy shoes are recommended. Temperatures can be considerably cooler around Ghorepani and Poon Hill than in Pokhara, especially during early-morning flights.
The helicopter tour is different from trekking the Ghorepani–Ghandruk route. Any applicable helicopter landing permissions, conservation-area arrangements, and local fees are handled according to the current operating requirements and selected package.
Meal arrangements depend on the selected package. As this is a short helicopter excursion, travelers should confirm the package inclusions before departure. Carrying drinking water and a light snack is also recommended.
